Hey there! I'm Sidney Turner!
Based in Charlotte, NC, and always willing to travel and explore all that beautiful North Carolina has to offer, I am the passionate and down-to-earth documentary photographer behind the lens of Faithful Hearts Photography.
I am a coffee lover, nature seeker, book enthusiast, wife of almost eight years and a mama to two wonderful children. In 2022, we welcomed our first-born into this world, and life changed drastically when he was diagnosed with a Congenital Heart Defect known as HLHS (Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome). Watching my amazingly strong heart warrior overcome so many obstacles made me realize how precious every moment of life truly is—and just how meaningful a photograph can be. Since then, we’ve been living life to its fullest potential.
Faithful Hearts Photography is inspired by my heart-warrior son and is one of the reasons I became passionate about capturing special moments for other people to cherish and look back on. I have a deep interest in documenting your most meaningful moments—families, couples, engagements, maternity, newborn sessions—you name it, we can discuss it.

My Editing Style
My editing style is true-to-color, enhanced with warm, natural tones. I believe every photograph deserves its own distinct identity, which is why I never just slap a preset on an image and move on. Instead, I use a baseline setting as a starting point, then meticulously tweak the lighting, exposure, and color balance. This ensures your photos look authentic, polished, and uniquely yours.

I firmly believe that the absolute best pictures come from unposed, authentic moments. As a mom of two, I know firsthand how chaotic family sessions can be—and let me tell you, I embrace that chaos completely! But even if you aren’t bringing kids along, stepping in front of a lens can still feel intimidating and stressful. Please don’t worry. Whether I am chasing your toddlers or capturing a quiet connection between a couple, my goal is to completely remove the pressure. Our session will be a relaxed blend of gentle direction and spontaneous, candid interactions. No matter who you are bringing to the shoot, we are going to create a comfortable, memorable, and entirely stress-free environment where your true personality can shine.

This 45-60 minute session is perfect for:

Includes up to two outfits and one location

Extended Session
$250
This 90–minute session is perfect for:

Includes up to two outfits and two locations (within a certain distance).
Select up to 40 photos of your choice.
I will then edit and deliver them to you through a private online gallery.
**EACH SESSION HAS THE OPTION TO SELECT adDitional IMAGES FOR A SMALL FEE**
Wondering what happens after you step in front of my camera?
Within 48–72 hours of our shoot, I’ll send over a link where you can view your proofs and personally pick your top 20, 30, or 40 favorites (Depending on your session selection).
Once you choose your top shots, the real magic happens. I hand-edit each selected photo in my signature true-to-color, warm style—treating every image as its own unique canvas. Finally, you’ll receive your private online gallery with full download access and total printing rights!

Can you explain the editing process after you've taken our photos?
I like to allow my clients to pick and choose their favorite photos from their session. After the session you'll receive a link within 48-72 hours to view and select your favorite photos from your session. Once I've received your favorite photos, I will then edit the selected favorites and deliver them through an online gallery within the specified timeline.
Do you offer mini sessions?
Yes! I offer mini sessions around major holidays (Easter, Christmas, etc) or special celebrations (Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, etc). Follow my Facebook page to find out when my next mini sessions will be offered.
What should we wear for our session?
I recommend wearing something that makes you feel comfortable!
Choose soft or warm colors–nothing too bright or overly distracting (crazy patterns or cartoon characters).
Try to coordinate outfits without looking too “matchy.” Find a color palette that includes colors that complement one another (ex. blues and tans, greens and tans, etc).
*I’m NOT a stylist by any means, but I definitely want you and your loved one to feel comfortable and have fun!
How long does it take to get our photos?
This truly depends on the season and how busy I might be, but I typically say two to three weeks, but sometimes will deliver your gallery before the specified timeline.
Do you travel?
Yes! I currently reside in Charlotte and am willing to travel within Mecklenburg County, as well as to Alamance County, Jackson County and Henderson County as I have family that I visit often. I have family in those counties that I visit often. For other locations I do charge a fee, which I'm willing to discuss.
